Dr Radmanesh completed his medical and General Psychiatry training at the Royal Melbourne hospital. He then commenced advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Alfred Hospital. During his training, he worked in Child and Adolescent psychiatry inpatient units at the Royal and Monash Children’s hospitals.
Dr Radmanesh believes that adolescence is a period of dynamic physiological, neurocognitive and behavioural changes and that during early developmental phases; the brain is uniquely susceptible to stress. Accordingly, Dr Radmanesh supports the conceptual framework of early diagnosis and interventions for children and adolescent. He enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families to develop a positive outcome, which is rewarding to both patients and Dr Radmanesh himself. Dr Radmanesh has an interest in neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum disorders and ADHD.
Dr Jacqueline Rakov is a Psychiatrist with an interest in clinical and forensic psychiatry. Dr Rakov studied medicine at Monash University. She undertook her clinical specialty training in psychiatry at The Alfred Hospital and Forensicare.
In a treatment capacity, Dr Rakov is passionate about delivering personalised and expert care to her patients. She has worked extensively with both victims and perpetrators of crime. At Ramsay Clinic Albert Road, she treats older adolescent and adult patients and consults on a variety of psychiatric concerns. Apart from general adult psychiatry, her further interests include developmental trauma, interpersonal conflict and psychotherapy. She has completed further training through the Victorian Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists. She works publicly in forensic psychiatry in a community setting.
Dr Rakov has extensive experience in the preparation of psychiatric reports and delivering expert evidence to the Courts. She is experienced in provision of expert evidence for criminal matters of fitness, mental impairment and sentencing across the Court hierarchy, as well as civil matters pertaining to family law in the Federal Circuit Court and Children's Court. Dr Rakov is accredited in Family Report Writing by the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and has completed further training in Psychiatric Assessments for the Family Court through Mindful and Monash University. Dr Rakov also undertakes assessments in workplace injury, historical sexual abuse claims and provides expert opinions in standard of care and medical negligence.
Dr Reddy received his basic medical degree from the University of Malaya before pursuing a Masters in Psychiatry in Kuala Lumpur. He has worked extensively in public mental health settings as an inpatient and outpatient psychiatrist.
His most recent appointment was as Consultant Psychiatrist, ACT Health, Canberra and Senior Lecturer, the Australian National University between 2010 and 2016.
An accredited supervisor for RANZCP psychiatry registrars in training, Dr. Reddy has also taught medical students in all his previous appointments.
Dr Reddy obtained his PhD. From the University of New South Wales, having worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. The PhD. thesis focused on the risk factors for psychological morbidity in people with diabetes mellitus. He has published papers in peer-reviewed international journals. While in Sydney, he worked with the Black Dog Institute as a trained facilitator for general practitioners conducting one-day programmes aimed at the assessment and treatment of depression. Dr Reddy enjoys working collaboratively with GPs to achieve better mental health outcomes for patients.
He has also had experience in post-trauma regions by volunteering in humanitarian missions to Iran post-earthquake in 2004 and Sri Lanka post-tsunami in 2005.
I have completed advanced/additional training in Aged Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). I am a member of the Professorial Psychiatry Unit at the Ramsay Clinic Albert Road, and I am also a Senior Fellow (Honorary) at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Deb Sahhar is a Psychiatrist, practising since 1998 in both private and public psychiatry. She has an interest in mood disorders and clinical focus in older individuals. Dr Sahhar focuses on both pharmacological as well as psychological approach.
Dr Sahhar is the Director of the Seniors program at Ramsay Clinic Albert Road and works as a Clinical Liaison Psychiatrist at The Alfred.
Dr Matthew Shaw completed his Psychiatric training at St Vincent’s Hospital and he went on to train in Child and Adolescent, Infant and Perinatal Psychiatry at Royal Children’s Hospital and Eastern Health.
Following completion of his training Dr Shaw has worked in full time private practice in Melbourne since 2013.
