Day programs

Ramsay Mental Health offers Day Programs for people recovering from a mental health condition, to help them build their capacity to resume their activities of daily life.

Day programs are structured, therapeutic group programs that focus on building life skills, managing symptoms and preventing relapse.

Day programs may be a half-day or full-day in length. They run once a week, or a few times a week, for a set number of weeks.

Day programs are often used following an inpatient stay, to support a patient to continue their strategies for recovery as they return to everyday life.

Is a day program right for me?

Day programs are intended for people with a mental health condition who are motivated to improve their symptoms and enhance their capabilities to live independently.

Your GP, psychologist or psychiatrist may refer you to a day program if they feel it will benefit you.
