Dr Warren Ward

Warren is an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland and has held the position of Director, Queensland Eating Disorders Service (QuEDS) since 2005. He is Chair of the Queensland Health Eating Disorder Advisory Group and co-author of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP) Clinical Practice Guidelines for Eating Disorders. In 2017 he received the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders (ANZAED) Distinguished Achievement Award. In 2018 he was elected a Fellow of the International Academy of Eating Disorders. He has published more than forty articles and book chapters, most of them on eating disorders. Warren will come on board as Director of the new Ramsay Mental Health Eating Disorders Training Program.

Warren will come on board as Director of the new Ramsay Mental Health Eating Disorders Training Program. This
program is designed for new fellows and established psychiatrists with an interest in entering the field of Eating
Disorders and runs for 12 months. It includes regular structured supervision sessions supported by a digital lecture
series and has been running successfully in Ramsay Mental Health’s Sydney services since February 2021 under
the directorship of Associate Professor Sloane Madden.
Due to Warren’s ongoing commitments until December 2022, he will be available in an after hours capacity from
5pm on weekdays, and on the weekends, for training and supervision.
