Dr Julian Dodemaide is a medical graduate of the University of Queensland, is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and NZ College of Psychiatrists, and has earned a Certificate of Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry. He is an accredited member of the Faculties of Adult Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry with the Royal Australian and NZ College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Dodemaide has gained experience working in a wide variety of settings in Southeast Queensland. In recent years, he has worked with the High Security Inpatient Service and Prison Mental Health Service, gaining experience in rehabilitation of complex patients, a variety of risk assessment tools, writing medico-legal reports, and providing expert evidence for the courts.
Dr Dodemaide welcomes referrals for medico-legal reports, and referrals from general practitioners for psychiatric management. He is passionate about supporting GPs with adult patient management, providing a high standard of patient care, and providing high quality medico-legal reports and expert evidence. Special interests include psychotic illnesses, PTSD, violence risk assessment, neurostimulation technologies, and military veterans.
Dr Dodemaide works at New Farm Clinic on a part-time basis and does not provide an out of hours service.
