Dr Nasim Heidari is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She trained at the Princess Alexandra, Logan and the Children's Queensland Hospitals and CYMHS (Child and Youth Mental Health Services) clinics helping young people with mental health problems and supporting their families.


Dr Heidari is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists since 2017.  She enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults and has  experience in diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions including: ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Difficulties, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Psychosis and Addictions.

She has training in Cognitive Behavourial Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy as well as the use of medicines where necessary.

Dr Velimir Kovacevic is a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in General and Forensic Psychiatry.  He also completed Postgraduate studies in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at Otago University.  Until recently, he served as Clinical Director - Court Liaison Service – Metro North Mental Health.  He has experience in diagnosing and treating a range of psychotic, mood, trauma-related and anxiety disorders. He has experience in the provision of medico-legal psychiatric evaluations, criminal and civil report writing and Court evidence, working for some of the largest providers of independent medical examinations in Australia.

As part of his forensic experience, Dr Kovacevic worked in high and medium security inpatient settings, community and rehabilitation services, and provided general psychiatric care to mentally ill persons in custody, including the service clinical and operational management. He advised and assisted general mental health services regarding treatment and management of clients with complex mental health needs and forensic issues.  

In his teaching capacity, Dr Kovacevic is a Clinical Lecturer and psychiatric course examiner. He has published in psychiatric journals and presented at national and international conferences. He is also a part time medical member of the Queensland Mental Health Review Tribunal (MHRT).

Dr Min is a Consultant Psychiatrist and the Director of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities within Metro North Health.

Dr Min provides psychiatric assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, with a clinical focus on neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disability. She also assesses and treats co-occurring mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and trauma-related conditions.

Dr Grace Min works collaboratively with patients, families, carers, and other health professionals to develop individualised management plans based on current evidence and each person's clinical needs. Her practice may include pharmacological treatment, psychological interventions, family-focused care, and coordination with multidisciplinary services where appropriate.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Min has completed advanced training in Therapeutic Arts Practice through the MIECAT Institute. She has an interest in the integration of creative arts approaches within mental health care where clinically appropriate.

 

Dr Min has experience working across a range of public and private mental health services and provides comprehensive psychiatric care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and associated mental health conditions.

Professor James Scott is a Child and Youth Psychiatrist and the Director of Ramsay Health Youth Service at New Farm. He is The Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The University of Queensland. He has  expertise in providing care to children and young people with anxiety, ADHD, psychosis and mood disorders. His clinical practice incorporates a biopsychosocial model with intensive family involvement.     

James is also a clinician researcher. He is an author on over 400 peer reviewed publications. In 2018, he was awarded the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists’ Senior Research Award, conferred on the ‘Fellow who has made the most significant contribution to psychiatric research in Australia and New Zealand over the preceding five years.

Ramsay Health Youth Service at New Farm was developed by James and commenced in November 2022. This was the first  private inpatient unit in Queensland for adolescents from 14 years.  

The service provides a group based programme for young people to learn skills with their peers to better cope with their mental health problems. The service is open to adolescents and young adults seeking voluntary admissions who are willing to participate in the programme of group and individual therapy, physical activity and family support. The programme is ideal for those who are seeking more intensive treatment than can be provided in outpatient appointments.

Dr. Igor Shvetsov attained his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from Siberian University -Tomsk, Russia in 1980 and was conferred PhD after completion studies on personality disorders dynamic. He is a Fellow of Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, having 30+ years of experience in psychiatry and substance abuse. Over the years he had worked in public and private psychiatric and substance use services of Melbourne and Brisbane. His psychiatric skills include medico-legal assessment, pharmacotherapy, therapeutic support; dynamic psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
