Anxiety

Everyone feels worried or stressed from time to time. Usually, those feelings fade when a stressful situation has passed. However, some people experience overwhelming feelings of worry, for no particular reason, that can make it difficult to cope with daily life. This is called anxiety.

Anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia, affecting around one in every four people.

Berkeley Vale Clinic offers both inpatient and day program services for the treatment of anxiety. The clinic is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales.

How do we treat anxiety at Berkeley Vale Clinic?

Our 24-hour inpatient service is run by an experienced multi-disciplinary team.

We offer a comfortable, stable environment allowing patients the space and time to fully focus on their recovery.

Our inpatient services offer patients access to:

  • treatment, information and resources to help support recovery goals
  • our holistic care program designed to improve physical, nutritional and social health

Day Program

The Anxiety Day Program is designed to help patients with anxiety disorders. It is a group therapy program focused on what triggers anxiety, such as avoidance and unhelpful thinking, as well as how to manage it, including:

  • Problem solving
  • Facing fears

Our goal is to help patients gain the skills and tools to respond positively to their negative thoughts, so they can live life freely and fully.
