Dr Harte is a medical graduate of Trinity College Dublin and completed his post graduate psychiatry training in the United Kingdom and in Australia. He holds fellowship of both the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Dr Harte is also an Accredited Member of the Faculty of Addictions Psychiatry (RANZCP). In addition to addiction psychiatry, Dr Harte has an interest in gender and sexuality. He is the immediate past president of AusPATH (Australian Professional Association for Trans Health) and is a past director of the Monash Gender Clinic. Dr Harte is an Honorary Senior Clinical Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne. He is also a member of the Victorian Mental Health Tribunal. Dr Harte has published in the scientific literature and has been a keynote speaker at scientific meetings both nationally and internationally.  

Dr Harte is transitioning his practice to focus on assessments, second opinions and inpatient addiction admissions. He will not be accepting long-term new patients for ongoing out-patient care due to planned retirement in December 2026.

Dr Nasim Heidari is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She trained at the Princess Alexandra, Logan and the Children's Queensland Hospitals and CYMHS (Child and Youth Mental Health Services) clinics helping young people with mental health problems and supporting their families.
Dr Heidari is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists since 2017.  She enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults and has  experience in diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions including: ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Difficulties, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Psychosis and Addictions.

In addition to his clinical roles, Malcolm has a long track record of involvement in psychiatric research, focused on mood and anxiety disorders, psychopharmacology and psychiatric aspects of acquired brain injury. He also leads the undergraduate and registrar training schemes at the Ramsay Clinic Albert Road. Malcolm was President of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists from 2015 to 2017, President of the Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations from 2019 to 2022 and is now the Chair of the North East Metro Regional Mental Health Body in Victoria.

Dr Lara Howard is a Consultant Psychiatrist with subspecialty expertise in perinatal, infant, child and adolescent, and neurodevelopmental psychiatry. A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) with Advanced Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, she has spent over a decade caring for women, infants and families across the perinatal period, from preconception counselling and medication safety in pregnancy and breastfeeding, through to the assessment and treatment of postnatal psychiatric conditions and early parent-infant relationships.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr Howard has played a leading role in building perinatal and infant mental health services across Western Sydney. She was instrumental in founding and establishing the Westmead Mother and Baby Unit, going on to serve as the Perinatal and Infant Consultant Psychiatrist for the inpatient unit, co-designed and founded the Safe Start Perinatal Clinic, and led the development of the policy, procedures and clinical governance underpinning perinatal-infant mental health services across the district. She brings a warm, family-focused and trauma-informed approach, and works collaboratively with GPs, obstetric and paediatric colleagues to deliver thoughtful, individualised care that keeps the wellbeing of both parent and child at its centre.

Dr Hug completed her medical training at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2004. She has Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, having completed her psychiatric training at Royal North Shore Hospital and mental health services in Manly, Hornsby, Ryde and Wyong areas.

She is trained in all aspects of general adult psychiatry and provides comprehensive assessment and management of a range of psychiatric disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, perinatal psychiatry, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders.

Dr Mona Idris is a consultant psychiatrist experienced in treating adult patients with complex mental health issues including complex personality, psychosis, mood and anxiety disorders.

Having completed her medical degree at the University of Basrah in Iraq, Dr Idris completed her specialty training in Australia and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2010. In addition to working in private practice post fellowship, Dr Idris also holds the title of perinatal psychiatrist at Campbelltown Mental Health Services. 


At Ramsay Clinic Macarthur, Dr Idris provides in-patient assessment and treatment services for adults for a range of psychiatric conditions. These include, but are not limited to, Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders, Personality disorders and Psychotic disorders.

In addition to English, Dr Idris speaks fluent Arabic and has experience working with refugees, who have been exposed to torture and other traumas before settling in Australia.

Dr Ruvanya Illesinghe is a locally-trained psychiatrist, having undertaken her undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and her post-graduate training at Austin Health.

Ruvanya has worked in a range of settings over the past nine years, including public and private adult units, regional psychiatric services, Continuing Care teams and perinatal services, she has experience in managing a wide range of clinical presentations. These include perinatal psychiatry, mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders and bipolar disorder.

Ruvanya will also accept inpatient referrals for both the perinatal mental health unit and the adult inpatient unit at Victoria Court.
