Jo is a Clinical Psychologist who is based in Brookvale on the northern beaches. She sees clients 1:1, either face to face, video or phone.

Jo seeks to improve the quality of life and well-being of her clients.  She aims to support the client in achieving their goals whilst recognising and validating their experience. Sometimes our goals do not always align with our reality, and this can be disappointing and upsetting. Jo hopes to bridge that gap in a realistic and supportive way.

Jo uses evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).  She seeks to provide the most appropriate therapy in a collaborative manner.

Jo has experience working in public and private hospitals and in private practice. She has worked with adolescent and adult clients. She worked at Ramsay Clinic Cremorne where she conducted group therapy including Mood Disorders and Anxiety; Bipolar Disorder and facilitating general inpatient groups including groups for veterans with depression and PTSD. Jo set up and facilitated a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills-based outpatient group. The program was designed to develop and apply communication skills to improve relationships and to cope with difficult emotions.

Jo has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and a Master in Clinical Psychology.  She has a Bachelor of Arts (English) and a Master in Business Administration. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).
