Dr Wright has a clinical focus on aged care psychiatry with experience in the diagnosis and management of mental health conditions in elderly patients (65 years of age and older). As is the custom in geriatric medicine, she also sees younger people who have dementia or other neurodegenerative conditions.

Dr Wright completed her Psychiatry training in Northern Sydney and has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists since 2007. She received her certificate of Advanced Training in Old Age Psychiatry from the RANZCP in 2009. Dr Wright also holds a Masters Degree in Geriatric Medicine from Edith Cowan University. In 2007 she was awarded a Fellowship from The Institute of Psychiatry where she gained experience in palliative care.

Hospital Appointments

Dr Wright is a Staff Specialist at Hornsby Hospital in the Rehabilitation and Aged Care Department and is the only Psychiatrist within that Department. She currently works in the Memory Clinic at Hornsby Hospital and provides consultation liaison services to some wards. She also provides home visits and consultations to residential facilities. Dr Wright also currently works in private practice visiting residential facilities in the Northern Sydney Region. She has worked in private practice and as a Locum Visiting Medical Officer on the Central Coast for a number of years. Her private practice is at Mt Wilga Private Hospital and also has private rooms at Northern Beaches.
