Dr Neelya Agalawatta is a general adult psychiatrist who completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle. She undertook psychiatry training primarily in the Northern Sydney area and developed an interest in perinatal psychiatry during her advanced training. Dr Agalawatta has worked in public, private and telehealth settings.  Dr Agalawatta also has interests in non-clinical aspects of psychiatry. She is a past member of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry Trainee Advisory Board and a current member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal of New South Wales.

Dr Agalawatta has interests in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, young adult mental health and women’s mental health. Dr Agalawatta provides treatment on an outpatient and inpatient basis at Ramsay Clinic Northside.
