Dr David Leonard graduated from Medicine in Sydney and trained in Psychiatry in UK (London and Edinburgh) returning to Melbourne to work in leadership and educational roles in public psychiatry before coming to Ramsay Clinic Albert Road, formerly known as Albert Road Clinic, 20 years ago. Dr Leonard has had a number of academic positions at Melbourne and Monash universities and has been a member of the Professorial Unit here at RCAR during his time here. He has focused on complex PTSD and in particular dissociative disorder. Dr Leonard has researched, lectured and published in this area. He is currently semi-retired but is providing a consultation service for people with complex PTSD and dissociative disorder. Dr Leonard can provide short term treatment, including, inpatient treatment to people with these disorders.

Dr David Philp is general psychiatrist based at Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville. He sees patients aged between 16 and 65, and has particular interests in substance use disorders, chronic pain and eating disorders. He also helps manage the mental health problems that accompany these, such as anxiety, psychosis, mania and depression.

Dr Deb Sahhar is a Psychiatrist, practising since 1998 in both private and public psychiatry. She has an interest in mood disorders and clinical focus in older individuals. Dr Sahhar focuses on both pharmacological as well as psychological approach.

Dr Dhaval Dani completed his medical degree from one of the top-ranked medical colleges in India. After completing his medical degree, he worked in Singapore, where he developed a keen interest in psychiatric disorders and started his training in psychiatry. He moved to Australia to continue his training and in 2015 he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCpsych) U.K. He worked in various locations in NSW and started his RANZCP training at Hunter New England Health. While in training, he was regularly involved in teaching junior doctors and was also the president of the network’s registrar committee. Dr Dani has a keen interest in managing addictive disorders. He is working towards completion of his Certificate in Advance Training in Addiction Psychiatry. He also works as a Staff Specialist at Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services at Hunter New England Network. His skills and experience include: 1. Managing acute crisis presentations 2. Managing substance withdrawals 3. Accredited Opioid Replacement Prescriber 4. Managing common psychiatric presentations- Anxiety and Mood Disorder 5. Managing complex psychiatric disorders- psychotic illnesses, PTSD 6. Personality Disorders 7. Neurodevelopmental disorders- Autism Spectrum Disorder in Adults. Dr Dani does not see Adult ADHD. 8. Dr Dillon Cheah provides comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment services, primarily for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. He consults with patients at both his St Leonards and Brookvale rooms, and has admitting privileges to the specialised Mood Disorders Unit at Ramsay Clinic Northside.
