Dr Ayodele Olatunji is a consultant general psychiatrist with Ramsay Clinic, Wentworthville. Dr Olatunji completed his undergraduate medical training and has extensive medical practice experiences in general practice, obstetrics and gynaecology, public health, psychiatry, and addiction medicine.
He has a Master in Public Health (MPH), Master in Psychiatric Medicine (MPsych Med.) and a Diploma in Family Medicine. He trained in Nigeria, Botswana, South Africa, and Australia, and he is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. In Australia, he now works as a general psychiatrist and certified addiction psychiatrist.
Dr Olatunji has extensive work experience in urban and regional areas both in person and via telehealth services. He also has both public and private hospital work experiences in Nigeria, Botswana, and Australia. His interest is in psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, Depression, Mania, Bipolar disorders, impulse control disorders, Adult ADHD, Substance Addictions (substances and others), general psychiatry and workers compensation. He is very passionate about the provision of culturally appropriate biopsychosocial treatments and services to his patients.
Dr Sian Ong provides comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment of patients across the spectrum of general psychiatric disorders.
He sees outpatients across a wide age range, from the age of 12 to adult, with a variety of anxiety and depressive disorders, interpersonal problems, personality vulnerabilities and ADHD. He likes mindfulness compassionate based whole person approaches in psychiatric management in addition to biological treatments.
For those who require inpatient treatment, he admits to the adult general mental health ward, eating disorders ward and the child and adolescent mental health ward at Ramsay Northside St Leonards Clinic.
He is a medical graduate of the University of New South Wales. He has obtained his psychiatry specialist qualification (FRANZCP) from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2000 and further obtained sub-specialty advanced training certificate in child and adolescent psychiatry from the same RANZCP college in 2021. In previous years, he has participated in RANZCP college as an examiner during the final exams for future specialist psychiatry candidates. He enjoys a wide range of music, enjoys playing the piano in private for friends and in public during his medical student days but less often now.
Dr Oyekan is a fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists providing general and addiction psychiatry at Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville. He treats depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, anxiety disorders including panic disorder, OCD and PTSD; grief, adjustment disorders, substance use disorders and ADHD.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Oyekan also has an interest in medical education, teaching and education, and mentoring. Dr Oyekan has an extensive experience in the private sector and he is known for his professionalism and compassion, he delivers high-quality, evidence-based care and he brings a wealth of international and local psychiatry experience, enriching patient care and experience.
Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Eranthanie (Hiranthi) Perera. Hiranthi is a local (Victorian) trained psychiatrist having completed training at Box Hill Hospital and The Alfred currently working across both public and private mental health services.
Hiranthi wishes to develop a broad psychiatric practice at Mitcham Private Hospital, and will consult onsite, supporting both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric services. Anne undertook her specialist training at Eastern Health, Melbourne, where she gained experience in the assessment and management of a range of psychiatric conditions.
Her clinical interests include mood and anxiety disorders and first-episode psychosis. Anne applies a biopsychosocial approach to care, incorporating biological, psychological and social considerations into management planning.
Anne also works as a consultant psychiatrist with Eastern Health’s Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit (PAPU) and Emergency Departments, where she is involved in the management of acute and complex presentations.
Dr David Philp is general psychiatrist based at Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville. He sees patients aged between 16 and 65, and has particular interests in substance use disorders, chronic pain and eating disorders.
