Associate Professor Mahesh Jayaram trained initially in London and Leeds (UK) and completed his Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2004. He then worked as a consultant in the NHS for 7 years prior to moving to Melbourne in 2013. He is now Chair of the education committee at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne and coordinates the Master of Psychiatry program. Clinical interests inlcude the treatment of schizophrenia, mood and anxiety disorders, alcohol addiction, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and sleep disorders. He has published numerous papers in scientific journals and authored book chapters. His research interests relate to treatments for schizophrenia, Cochrane systematic reviews and evidence-based treatments and is an invited speaker at national and international conferences.
