Karen is a Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has been working in the mental health setting for almost 25 years. She has experience working with people aged 16 and over who have a wide variety of life problems. In addition to providing therapy to people with adjustment difficulties and mood disorders, Karen also works with individuals who have complex trauma (PTSD and Complex PTSD), addictions, interpersonal conflict, emotion dysregulation and self-harming behaviours. She also has a special interest in working with people who are neurodivergent, and enjoys working with people who have ADHD, ASD and AUDHD (people who have both ADHD and ASD).

Karen is also trained in the provision of diagnostic assessments for ADHD, ASD and AUDHD. She is also able to provide cognitive assessments to people who wish to understand their overall level of general intelligence, cognitive strengths and weaknesses and also their unique learning styles.

 In order to effect change in her client group, Karen has experience in a variety of therapeutic approaches including; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic approaches, such as Schema Therapy and the Conversational Model. She uses her knowledge, skills and experience to tailor her interventions to the needs of each and every individual client. She does so, however, using a warm, compassionate approach with much focus on developing a strong therapeutic alliance.

For Psychologists, Karen has been a Board Approved Supervisor for over 10 years and is able to provide clinical supervision for Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars and both fully and provisionally Registered Psychologists. This is a much enjoyed aspect of Karen’s work.

Karen is an approved BUPA provider and sees people via DVA and ADF pathways.

Jessica is a counselling psychologist who has extensive experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds in the tertiary sector and with private organisations supporting clients with health and wellbeing concerns. Her diverse training and experience enables her to assist her clients to deal with the various challenges in their lives and to make positive and practical choices that increase their wellbeing.

Jessica is interested in guiding and supporting young people through early adulthood including studying at university, choosing a career path, relationships, stress, and beyond. Jessica is also particularly interested in gerontology - the social, cultural, psychological, cognitive and biological aspects of ageing - and working with older adults to manage life’s transitions including retirement, physical and mental changes, cognitive decline, chronic illness and disability, grief and loss, managing the behavioural and psychological symptoms of people with dementia, and supporting carers. Jessica has completed a master of gerontology degree to assist her to help improve the health and wellbeing of older Australians.

As a registered psychologist, Jessica has worked in many different areas including the Centre for Education and Research on Ageing, administering psychological assessments of older Australians for a study on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. She has also worked at the University of Sydney in human resource management and in a senior leadership role supporting residential students. Jessica has recently worked as a facilitator for the Cancer Council NSW and the University of Sydney providing support for cancer patients and carers. Jessica provides counselling and support using evidence-based therapeutic approaches and is committed to high quality care.

Sharon is a Clinical Psychologist who is dedicated to working compassionately and collaboratively with individuals across the lifespan. She has experience working with clients presenting with a wide range of psychiatric, emotional and behavioural difficulties including Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Eating Disorders, Trauma, Self-esteem, Self-Harm and Emotion Dysregulation. Sharon’s therapeutic approach is warm, empathic and non-judgemental. She is passionate about helping her clients gain an in-depth understanding of their difficulties and develop skills so that they can lead fulfilling lives.

Sharon has gained valuable experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in a Private Practice setting and has developed strong skills in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of various childhood disorders and assisting parents implement parent management strategies. Sharon is currently working at Northside Group Clinic Cremone, facilitating inpatient and outpatient Mood Disorders groups, as well as providing individual therapy for inpatients. She previously worked at St John of God Burwood, facilitating the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy program for inpatients.
