Dr Michael Hong is a Psychiatrist with interests in general adult psychiatry, mood disorders, including depression and Bipolar illness. He is also experienced in mental health rehabilitation.
Dr Hong enjoys supervising psychiatrists-in-training and teach medical students from University of NSW and University of Notre Dame. Dr Hong has co-authored a number of research papers, which are published in Australian and international psychiatric journals.
Professional status:
In addition to his clinical roles, Malcolm has a long track record of involvement in psychiatric research, focused on mood and anxiety disorders, psychopharmacology and psychiatric aspects of acquired brain injury. He also leads the undergraduate and registrar training schemes at the Ramsay Clinic Albert Road. Malcolm was President of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists from 2015 to 2017, President of the Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations from 2019 to 2022 and is now the Chair of the North East Metro Regional Mental Health Body in Victoria.
Dr Howard is a sub-specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry, with specific expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders (including ADHD, ASD, ID) and developmental trauma presentations. She is also a perinatal & infant psychiatrist, with specific interest in women's mental health across the lifespan and neuroendocrine modulation techniques. She is a member of the RANZCP Faculty of Child Psychiatry Subcommittee and Section of Perinatal Psychiatry Subcommittee. Dr Howard's specific areas interest and expertise also encompass the diagnosis and treatment of OCD, mood disorders and psychotic spectrum disorders. Age range: 0-60
Dr Hug completed her medical training at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2004. She has Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, having completed her psychiatric training at Royal North Shore Hospital and mental health services in Manly, Hornsby, Ryde and Wyong areas.
She is trained in all aspects of general adult psychiatry and provides comprehensive assessment and management of a range of psychiatric disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, perinatal psychiatry, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Dr Hug is appointed as Visiting Medical Officer at Ramsay Clinic Northside. Other appointments are Staff Specialist Psychiatrist, Northern Sydney Local Health District, and the advisory board to the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry.
Dr Mona Idris is a consultant psychiatrist experienced in treating adult patients with complex mental health issues including complex personality, psychosis, mood and anxiety disorders.
Having completed her medical degree at the University of Basrah in Iraq, Dr Idris completed her specialty training in Australia and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2010. In addition to working in private practice post fellowship, Dr Idris also holds the title of perinatal psychiatrist at Campbelltown Mental Health Services.
At Ramsay Clinic Macarthur, Dr Idris provides in-patient assessment and treatment services for adults for a range of psychiatric conditions. These include, but are not limited to, Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders, Personality disorders and Psychotic disorders.
In addition to English, Dr Idris speaks fluent Arabic and has experience working with refugees, who have been exposed to torture and other traumas before settling in Australia.
Dr Ruvanya Illesinghe is a locally-trained psychiatrist, having undertaken her undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and her post-graduate training at Austin Health.
Ruvanya has worked in a range of settings over the past nine years, including public and private adult units, regional psychiatric services, Continuing Care teams and perinatal services, she has experience in managing a wide range of clinical presentations. These include perinatal psychiatry, mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders and bipolar disorder.
Ruvanya will also accept inpatient referrals for both the perinatal mental health unit and the adult inpatient unit at Victoria Court.
Dr Tahira Jabeen is a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She completed her psychiatry training in Australia and has more than 15 years’ experience of working in mental health services.
Dr Jabeen is experienced in comprehensive assessments and the development of management plans for patients aged between 18 – 65 years who have a variety of complex mental health disorders. Such as: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders and psychosis. She has extensive experience in treating patients with a broad range of treatment options including medications, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions. Dr Jabeen works with a recovery-oriented and patient-focussed approach in close collaboration with families, general practitioners and other clinicians involved in the patient’s care.
Dr Jabeen also works as a Staff Specialist at the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District and is an accredited supervisor of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist for trainee Psychiatrists.
Dr Jabeen provides outpatient appointments at the Northside Group Wentworthville Consultation Suites and inpatient service at Northside Group Wentworthville Clinic.

Dr Jackson attained his fellowship in 2008 and has been working full time in private practice at Hollywood Private since 2009. His special interest is in general adult psychiatry
About Dr Anila Jacob
Dr Jacob is a psychiatrist, with over 20 years of experience. A Fellow of the Royal ANZ College of Psychiatrists, she is also a senior specialist in the public sector where she consults and supervises doctors in specialist training and medical students.
Treatment services
Dr Jacob has interests in mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, women’s mental health, and ADHD. Treatment can be provided as an outpatient where she welcomes active participation of patients and carers. She is also available to provide assessment and care plans to referrers including for eating, mood and anxiety disorders.
Telehealth is available for outpatient appointments.
