Dr Vineel Reddy began his career in the field of psychiatry in the United Kingdom. He obtained his Membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London in 2010.

He then underwent further training in General Adult Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison that led to his awarding of the UK Certification of Completion of Training in 2013. He attained a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry from Ireland. He further pursued a Masters of Business Administration to complement his vision to better the provision of clinical psychiatry services within public healthcare.

Dr Reddy worked as a consultant psychiatrist in the UK National Health Service for several years before migrating to Australia in 2018. He was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australian and New ZealandCollege of Psychiatrists in 2019.

Dr Reddy has the expertise and a wealth of experience in the assessments and management of ADHD patients. He is an associate member of the Australian ADHD Professional Association (AADPA). Dr Reddy also has an interest in supporting the treatment of defence personnel currently serving as well as veterans. He is a member of the Australian Military Medicine Association (AMMA).

Dr Reddy has the expertise in medical report writing for defence mental health claims which is his current area of focus. He has helped several ADF as well as veterans to go through their claims process by providing expert medical reports. These reports included liability claims and impairment assessments and supported medical discharges.  Through his experience he has become aware that often defence personnel must wait long periods of time to access a psychiatrist for their medical reports. They often struggle with the reports being done in a timely manner which can exacerbate their mental health issues whilst they are waiting. Therefore, he would like to help in this area to relieve them of the stresses that are often faced.  Dr Reddy is also able to write comprehensive management plans for the treatment of their mental health conditions. These plans can then be administered by their GP. Dr Reddy is also happy to oversee them.

Dr Reddy has over 10 years’ experience as a consultant psychiatrist. He works with a group of psychiatrists in the outpatient setting at Synergy Specialist Clinic as well as manages inpatients at The Southport Private Hospital on the Gold Coast where he is able to offer patients the latest evidence treatments including neuromodulation. He has an interest in treating PTSD, depression, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders as well as ADHD. He provides his services via telehealth, in person or in an inpatient setting.

Dr Reddy endeavours to effectively engage his patients, families, and caregivers. He is sensitive to the privacy and the confidentiality of his patients. He advocates for a holistic model of care and utilises a range of treatment options tailored to the needs of the individual and to promote their recovery in close collaboration with primary care services.
