Our highly experienced psychologists are trained in the latest treatment techniques and are ready to provide support to children, adolescents, adults and older persons.

Our team at Ramsay Psychology Mount Pleasant is made up of degree-qualified psychologists, who are registered with APHRA and offer a wide range of evidence-based therapies.

Referrals

You do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment (in person or via telehealth) at Ramsay Psychology Mount Pleasant. However, if you have been referred by your GP with a Mental Health Treatment Plan, you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate. This will cover part of the cost of a number of sessions in a calendar year. Your doctor can address the referral to Ramsay Psychology or specifically to one of our psychologists. If you do not already have a Mental Health Treatment Plan and you wish to access this rebate, contact your GP or psychiatrist.

Clients who hold private health insurance may be eligible for a partial refund. Contact your health fund for more information.

Ramsay Psychology psychologists and practice staff offer concessions and fee structures for individuals who are Concession Card Holders, or covered by NDIS (self-funded only), MAIC, OSHC and WorkCover. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

He is a seasoned psychologist with a diverse life journey, dedicating 9 years immersing himself in the varied cultures of India, working with refugees and searching for the meaning of life there. He has also lived in Singapore and Malaysia and is experienced in working in a multicultural environment. He has explored and studied different religions such as Christianity, Buddhism, and Islamism. These experiences have profoundly influenced him, shaping a professional with deep empathy and compassion.

Farah Gulamoydeen

Farah is a Psychologist with a Master of Clinical Psychology degree and around 12 years of experience. She was born and raised in Malaysia and moved to Australia as a professional. She has work experience in both countries, the majority of it in Australia, in EAP and private practice settings. Farah chose to specialise in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) eight years ago and practises it in her own life. Apart from working with clients, she conducts training and supervision in ACT for other mental health professionals as it is important to her to contribute to society at a larger level too.
