Sebastian is a Clinical Psychologist offering compassionate, collaborative and non-judgemental psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Originally from and trained in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he has completed two Bachelor’s degrees (Philosophy and Psychology) at the Argentinian Catholic University. In 2012, he moved to Adelaide to study a Master of Clinical Psychology at Flinders University. Besides Buenos Aires and Adelaide, Sebastian has also lived and worked in the USA, Spain, New Zealand and country NSW. More recently, he has decided to relocate to Brisbane and make it his new home.
Back in Argentina, Sebastian became trained mainly in Psychodynamic therapies and Attachment theory. While in Australia, Sebastian was exposed to another whole range of psychotherapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness. This allows him to choose from several approaches and tailor it to each individual and personal situation. He works from a humanistic and person-centred base, and tries to make each session as unique and meaningful as possible for each person, so that individuals can start living a rich and meaningful life.
Sebastian’s wide experience comes from working in a variety of settings, both in the public and private sectors. He is particularly interested in working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing a range of mental health issues including anxiety and mood disorders, sleep disorders, stress and burnout, adjustment difficulties, drug and alcohol dependency, anger management, grief and loss, couple and relationship issues, and trauma and PTSD.
Sebastian’s personal hobbies and interests include fitness and exercise, travel, languages, technology and photography.
He is fluent in English and Spanish, and can also communicate with ease in Italian and Portuguese.
