Helen Schmidt is a registered psychologist with a wide range of experience, in both the private and the public sector, providing care and support to help her clients manage their mental health and re-engage with their community.

Helen has worked in private practice for more than a decade. 

She specialises in assisting adults who experience problems such as depression, anxiety, family problems, suicidal ideation, trauma, grief and loss, alcohol and substance abuse, stress and workplace concerns. 

She is a warm, friendly, and compassionate person. Helen is empathetic, and her non-judgemental attitude helps to build a strong rapport and trust with those she treats. Helen works collaboratively with her clients to help them build self-confidence in their ability to achieve the goals that are important to them. Helen’s main therapeutic modality is evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. However, she adapts her approach by drawing on a variety of treatments, tailoring the therapy to best suit the needs of each client.
