Angela is an AHPRA-registered Psychologist and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). She brings extensive experience supporting young people and their families and adults from a wide range of backgrounds.
Angela is compassionate and person centred. She guides her clients towards a deeper and more meaningful journey of psychological health with clear outcomes in mind. She works collaboratively with each person to navigate current challenges in a safe and non-judgmental space. Angela recognises that trauma can deeply affect not only individuals but also those around them. Her approach is always tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each client, ensuring therapy is both respectful and effective. Angela works on the past events, present triggers and future worries as she works together with the client to gently shift those negative core beliefs into more adaptive one.
She has a particular interest in helping individuals who have experienced trauma, including single-incident trauma, complex trauma, and adverse childhood experiences. Angela incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Resource Therapy, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and other modalities. These modalities draw from psychodynamic, interpersonal, experiential and body centred therapies taking a holistic approach.
Angela is currently offering intensive EMDR therapy for clients who choose to accelerate treatment with 3-hour blocks of therapy once or twice a week.
