Dr. Sandra Fang is a Psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in both Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. She is an accredited member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.

Trained in Melbourne, Dr. Fang has worked extensively in both the public and private health sectors. She has previously held positions as Consultant Psychiatrist in inpatient care units, consultation liaison and acute care.

Dr. Fang is passionate about improving service provision in the rapidly evolving world of Psychiatry. She has an interest in Electroconvulsive Therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and is looking to develop the Neurostimulation service with Ramsay Health Care at The Southport Private Hospital.

Dr. Fang specialises in mood and psychotic disorders.. She aims to provide a holistic and compassionate approach to patient care, and to aligned treatment to individual needs in order to achieve a patient focused and a sustainable journey to recovery.

Dr Hany.F Ghabrash (Dr G) is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and is a Certified Psychiatrist with extensive experience in Child, Youth and Adult Mental Health in Australia and overseas. He works both in the public and private sector.

He is an Honorary Adjunct Assistant professor at Bond University Faculty of Medicine and Health sciences and a former senior lecturer at Griffith University School of Medicine, and former Clinical Lecturer, at Melbourne Medical School; Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.

Dr Ghabrash has published a few papers on the physical side effects of psychotropic medications and the cultural impact of psychiatry.

Dr Ghabrash has had advanced training in Consult Liaison Psychiatry, General adult community, adult inpatient mental health, as well as child and youth community and inpatient mental health.

Dr Ghabrash believes in the recovery principle of patients with mental health difficulties, focusing on their areas of strengths along with the inclusive approach of their significant others and the value of a professional therapeutic alliance.

Dr Ghabrash has an interest in anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, personality vulnerabilities, OCD, mental and physical wellbeing and the impact of relationships and trauma on mental health and resilience as well as developmental disorders, learning difficulties, functional disorders, and Childhood and adult ADHD.

He is a member of the American academy of consultation-liaison psychiatry, Canadian ADHD alliance, Australian ADHD association, the Australasian college of independent medical evaluators, the Australian medical association, and is registered as a specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency.

Dr Sam Mikhaiel began his career in the field of psychiatry in Queensland, where he has worked across multiple mental health services. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He pursued additional training in Old Age Psychiatry and was awarded his Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry in 2020. He is currently a Lecturer at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.

Dr Mikhaiel has the competency and expertise to assess and manage a broad range of Psychiatric Disorders in the adult and older adult population. This includes but not limited to; Adult ADHD assessments, Anxiety Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Depressive and Bipolar Affective Disorders, Personality Disorder, and Trauma-related mental health issues including PTSD. He has an interest in the interplay of mental health issues of older adults and cognitive disorders (Dementia Disorders).

Dr Mikhaiel offers his patients the most recent evidence-based practices in Psychiatry including; psychotropic medications, psychotherapy (IPT, CBT, and Psychodynamic Therapy), and Neuro-stimulation treatments (ECT and TMS). His main focus is to openly and effectively communicate with his patients, families, and caregivers to deliver a holistic paradigm of care that promotes recovery from mental illness. He aims to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide the optimal standards of care to his patients.

Dr Navaratne is a Psychiatrist who has had advanced training in Consult Liaison Psychiatry, focusing particularly on General Adult Psychiatry. He has an interest in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) - a proven alternative treatment for depression.

Dr Ajith Navaratne completed his MBBS at Colombo Teaching Hospitals, University of Colombo Sri Lanka. He then undertook and completed his Post Graduate Medicine Training at the University of Colombo Sri Lanka before moving to Australia in 2007. Dr Navaratne worked in numerous hospitals in Victoria and Queensland before relocating to Toowoomba to commence further training in psychiatry. Dr Navaratne completed his Fellowship with Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry in 2018. Following this, he moved to the North Coast of NSW and since that time worked as a Consultant and Liaison Psychiatrist. He is currently responsible for the ongoing training and education or psychiatric registrars and medical students.

Dr Navaratne provides both outpatient consultation and hospital admissions at The Southport Private Hospital.

Dr Khine Zin Oo is a Psychiatrist with an interest in a variety of psychiatric conditions including ADHD, addiction, early psychosis, mood disorder, functional neurological disorder and eating disorder.

Dr Oo provides expert reports for mental health courts on critical matters such as Unsoundness of Mind, Fitness for Trial, and capacity assessments.

Dr Oo also provides medicolegal reports for Psychological Injury from Motor Vehicle Accident, Total Permanent Disability Assessment, Workplace Injury Report for Occupational Capacity Assessment and Degree of Impairment Capacity Assessment, Institutional Abuse under the Red Dress Scheme, Family Court Report or Child Protection Reports, DVA Reports. 

Dr Oo offers telehealth consults where appropriate, allowing her to support both local and interstate patients

Dr Vineel Reddy began his career in the field of psychiatry in the United Kingdom. He obtained his Membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London in 2010.

He then underwent further training in General Adult Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison that led to his awarding of the UK Certification of Completion of Training in 2013. He attained a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry from Ireland. He further pursued a Masters of Business Administration to complement his vision to better the provision of clinical psychiatry services within public healthcare.

Dr Reddy worked as a consultant psychiatrist in the UK National Health Service for several years before migrating to Australia in 2018. He was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australian and New ZealandCollege of Psychiatrists in 2019.

Dr Reddy has the expertise and a wealth of experience in the assessments and management of ADHD patients. He is an associate member of the Australian ADHD Professional Association (AADPA). Dr Reddy also has an interest in supporting the treatment of defence personnel currently serving as well as veterans. He is a member of the Australian Military Medicine Association (AMMA). 

Dr Reddy has the expertise in medical report writing for defence mental health claims which is his current area of focus. He has helped several ADF as well as veterans to go through their claims process by providing expert medical reports. These reports included liability claims and impairment assessments and supported medical discharges.  Through his experience he has become aware that often defence personnel must wait long periods of time to access a psychiatrist for their medical reports. They often struggle with the reports being done in a timely manner which can exacerbate their mental health issues whilst they are waiting. Therefore, he would like to help in this area to relieve them of the stresses that are often faced.  Dr Reddy is also able to write comprehensive management plans for the treatment of their mental health conditions. These plans can then be administered by their GP. Dr Reddy is also happy to oversee them.   

Dr Reddy has over 10 years’ experience as a consultant psychiatrist. He works with a group of psychiatrists in the outpatient setting at Synergy Specialist Clinic as well as manages inpatients at The Southport Private Hospital on the Gold Coast where he is able to offer patients the latest evidence treatments including neuromodulation. He has an interest in treating PTSD, depression, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders as well as ADHD. He provides his services via telehealth, in person or in an inpatient setting. 

Dr Reddy endeavours to effectively engage his patients, families, and caregivers. He is sensitive to the privacy and the confidentiality of his patients. He advocates for a holistic model of care and utilises a range of treatment options tailored to the needs of the individual and to promote their recovery in close collaboration with primary care services.
