You do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment (in person or via telehealth) at Ramsay Psychology Bundoora. However, if you have been referred by your GP with a Mental Health Treatment Plan, you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate. This will cover part of the cost of a number of sessions in a calendar year. Your doctor can address the referral to Ramsay Psychology or specifically to one of our psychologists. If you do not already have a Mental Health Treatment Plan and you wish to access this rebate, contact your GP or psychiatrist.
Clients who hold private health insurance may be eligible for a partial refund. Contact your health fund for more information.

Ramsay Psychology provides psychometric testing. This is a process by which a person’s cognitive, psychological, emotional and behavioural functioning is comprehensively assessed through a detailed interview and standardised testing. Psychometric testing may be needed for a new or corrected diagnosis of certain conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disorders and Dementia.

Carrie is a warm and professional Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of clinical experience across Hong Kong and Australia. Her special interests include emotional disorders, abuse and trauma, relationship issues, parenting problems, and grief and loss. She also has extensive experience in performing cognitive assessments for children and adults and preparing victim impact or presentencing reports for courts.
Carrie takes an empathetic and non-judgmental approach in supporting her clients through their difficulties, identifying their strengths and taking practical steps towards their goals.
Carrie works with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds and provides therapies in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She provides a wide range of therapies including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, mindfulness-based therapy and emotion-focused therapy. She is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Frank is a healthcare professional who has trained and worked extensively in the diverse disciplines of psychology, tertiary education and chiropractic care. His career as a Psychologist has been guided by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), a field of psychology that helps and supports people facing issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues and substance abuse. His broad education gives him an understanding of how physiology and psychology can be applied to treat conditions such as chronic pain. Vanessa is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting families during pregnancy, postpartum and through parenthood. She has a focus on helping them to find joy and increased confidence in these life transitions and values the opportunity to support and enhance parent-child relationships. This includes providing support with a range of issues which may arise, including depression, anxiety, infertility and pregnancy loss, traumatic birth and managing difficult emotions related to parenting.
Additionally, Vanessa is skilled in working with a range of other non-perinatal mental health concerns, including trauma, adjustment, grief and loss, depression and anxiety. Vanessa completed her undergraduate and postgraduate psychology training at the University of Melbourne. She has supported clients in a range of public mental health services, including youth and adult community mental health and hospitals. More recently, Vanessa has worked in private practice, supporting clients with a variety of issues, including perinatal difficulties.
Vanessa’s approach is compassionate and warm. She is aware that it can be daunting to commence therapy. Hence, she is committed to providing an empathic, non-judgmental environment where clients feel listened to and safe to talk about their difficulties. She is interested in helping clients to reflect on how past experiences, especially where these are traumatic or challenging, may connect to current concerns and provides support to work through these together.

Karen is a Clinical Psychologist with qualifications including a Bachelor of Arts (major in Psychology), Graduate Diploma of Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology. Karen’s professional experience has comprised all life stages and diverse settings including inpatient and outpatient settings, educational and private settings.
Karen has a particular interest in working with young people and adults experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, trauma histories, chronic health issues and supporting families with parenting concerns.

Chloe is a Registered Psychologist with extensive experience of working in roles within the Victorian workers’ compensation scheme, including consultancy positions at DXC, one of Victoria’s four WorkCover claims agents, and the Victorian Department of Health. She is familiar with workplace issues such as burnout, discrimination, workplace stress, bullying, and other forms of workplace mental injury as well as the personal attributes that can contribute to these issues, such as perfectionistic attitudes, people-pleasing behaviour, competitiveness, and conceptualisations of self-worth.
Outside of workplace incidents, Chloe has a special interest in helping people who are suffering with all types of anxiety. Chloe aims to help clients to reduce the stress of life so that they can be their best selves, both inside and outside of work.
Chloe believes good therapy starts with a good therapeutic relationship, meaning both client and therapist understand each other, a safe space is provided where topics can be raised without fear of judgement, and goals are set collaboratively. Chloe is proficient in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other modalities of treatment.

Sarah is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 20 years of experience. She uses this experience to create a calm, compassionate and safe therapeutic environment for her clients.
She has a particular interest in using psychological therapies to treat problematic symptoms of menopause, and working with people
experiencing anxiety presentations such as panic attacks, social anxiety and specific phobias.
Sarah takes a client-led approach to therapy, aiming for her clients to experience a sense of being understood, and to learn ways to achieve good mental health.
She has worked in a range of settings, such as public mental health, primary care psychology and private practice, both in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Sarah provides supervision to psychologists in training and qualified psychologists, and is a lecturer in post-graduate psychology. She enjoys working with individual clients and delivering therapy in group settings.
