Dr Sophia Franks is a clinical psychologist with over twenty-four years of experience working as a psychologist within both public and private sectors in the areas of child and adolescent, perinatal, and adult psychiatry. She takes an empathic and research-based approach to providing psychological care, working closely with individuals and families to support their mental health, well-being and functioning. Dr Franks completed her PhD in the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. During this time, she was appointed to a senior psychology position and was awarded a Murdoch Institute grant for her research, which the International Association published for the Study of Pain.

Margaret is the practice principal and a Registered Psychologist at Ramsay Psychology Coolangatta and Southport, with extensive clinical experience in a wide variety of mental health presentations.. Margaret works with both adolescent and adult clients to manage a comprehensive range of symptoms and conditions including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, complex trauma, personality disorders, addiction and substance abuse, emotional and behavioural problems, suicidality and self-harming behaviours. Other areas of expertise include providing care to women who experience Domestic and Family Violence, parenting difficulties and perinatal mental health concerns.
