Ramsay Clinic Adelaide:

Ramsay Clinic Adelaide is our flagship facility, offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services. It provides specialised care for a variety of mental health conditions.

• Contact the Intake Team: Please contact our Intake Team at Ramsay Clinic Adelaide to discuss accessing our services or to see if admission to the Clinic is suitable and available.

• A psychiatrist will need to be credentialled with the hospital in order to admit a patient. Our Executive Assistant can support with obtaining credentialling, and can be contacted on:

• Note: If the patient is in acute crisis or actively suicidal, please contact the local Hospital Emergency Department. Ramsay Clinic Adelaide does not provide any emergency services.

GP Intake Referral

The GP Intake Service is an initiative taken by our clinic in response to the growing difficulty in accessing private psychiatric care for their patients. This service allows eligible, privately insured patients to be admitted for diagnostic clarification, medication review and stabilisation and alcohol detoxification, before being discharged back to their GP with a detailed management plan.

To facilitate this initiative, the admitting psychiatrist will only provide care during the admission episode, whilst the referring GP remains responsible for the patient's ongoing care before admission and following discharge.

How to refer:

1. Complete mental health referral assessment form
2. Email the completed form to: TAC@ramsayhealth.com.au
3. We encourage patients to contact the admissions team via reception on (08) 8269 8100
4. Health fund check completed on behalf of the patient

Straightforward Referral Pathway:

Please note that we can only accept referrals from Psychiatrists who are credentialled at Ramsay Clinic Adelaide and Ramsay Day Clinic Kahlyn. Patients are also required to hold appropriate private health insurance cover.

How to refer:

1. Complete the Ramsay Day Clinic – Kahlyn Referral Form
2. Email the completed form to admin.kph@ramsayhealth.com.au or fax to 8364 0811
3. We will contact the patient within 24–48 hours
4. Health fund check completed on behalf of the patient
5. Comprehensive 1-hour assessment conducted by a senior clinician
