Profile

Dr Kilcawley completed her undergraduate medical training at Manchester University, where she graduated in 2007. 

Dr Kilcawley is a medically qualified specialist psychiatrist who has completed advanced training in psychiatry and as a child and adolescent psychiatrist. She is a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, with a Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and membership of the Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

In addition to her medical specialist qualifications, Dr Kilcawley has trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), autism assessment, circle of security parenting and attachment-based family therapy. More recently, Dr Kilcawley has finished research in depression and anxiety in pregnant women in the Cairns region and is interested in infant mental health, working with parents to resolve problems presenting in children and adolescents, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, autism spectrum disorders and eating disorders.

Dr Kilcawley is a psychiatrist working with adults at Ramsay Clinic Cairns, treating a range of mental health and substance use issues, with a focus on psychotherapy. 

She also sees children and adolescents in private practice.
